Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

MaternAlert handles sensitive health information about pregnant women and healthcare workers. We take that responsibility seriously. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, how we store and protect it, and what rights you have over your information.

This policy applies to the MaternAlert website at maternalert.com.ng, the MaternAlert patient mobile application, and the MaternAlert health worker dashboard.

Our data principles

Data minimisation

We only collect what is clinically necessary. We do not collect date of birth, full addresses, or free-text medical history.

No diagnostic labels

We store raw readings and structured inputs. We do not store clinical interpretations or diagnoses against patient records.

Role-based access

Health workers see only patients at their facility. Patients see only their own records. No cross-facility data sharing without consent.

No data selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health information to any third party under any circumstances.

Who this policy covers

This policy covers three types of users:

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days.
